Christine Graeff, European Central Bank, Germany
Christine Graeff has been Director General of Communications at the European Central Bank since 2013. She heads Communication both for the ECB and for the SSM, the European Banking Supervisor.
Graeff began her career as an investment banker in the Corporate Finance team at Kleinwort Benson and later worked for the strategic communications firm, Brunswick. As a founding partner at Brunswick Germany, she established and developed the Group's German business, focusing in particular on the financial sector. In 2015 she was awarded an honorary doctorate from Middlesex University.
Graeff chairs the English Theatre Board and serves on the Board of TalentNomics, a non-profit organisation which supports and empowers women in leadership. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum of Young Global Leaders and supports various communications networks and initiatives.
